The Balogun Bobajiroro of Orile Igbon, Otunba Seye Famojuro, has made a significant contribution of 1.5 million Naira to Mr. Tolulope Olayiwola, popularly known as Remote, ahead of his comedy show scheduled for Sunday, June 30th. This generous donation aims to boost the spirit of entertainment in Ibadan and strengthen the synergy between entertainment stakeholders and the state government.

The donation by Governor Seyi Makinde’s ally is seen as a strategic move to foster a closer relationship between the entertainment industry and the government. This gesture comes in the wake of a recent meeting between Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, and entertainment stakeholders in the state. During this meeting, various ideas and government interventions to support the industry were discussed. The upcoming comedy show by Remote will be the first major event following these discussions.

Otunba Seye Famojuro expressed his commitment to further strengthening the bonds within the entertainment sector and the government to ensure a vibrant industry. He emphasized that with proper structuring, the entertainment industry could significantly contribute to the state’s economy.

Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, while appreciating Otunba Seye Famojuro’s gesture, expressed his delight at the positive developments in the industry. He believes that with the current enthusiasm from stakeholders, Oyo State’s entertainment industry is poised to rival that of Lagos State. He highlighted that Oyo State produces more entertainment talents than any other state but often loses them to other states due to lack of support.

Under his leadership as the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Adebayo pledged to work closely with the industry to revive the state’s entertainment glory. He reiterated Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to prioritizing sectors that would significantly benefit and boost the state’s economy, particularly in the area of youth development.

He also urged everyone to attend the comedy show “I Just Got Back” by Remote, emphasizing the importance of supporting local talent to ensure they become state pride and place Oyo State on the map of greatness.

He appealed to entertainment stakeholders to move past sectionalism and embrace unity, stressing that collective strength is greater than individual efforts. He asserted that the time has come for Oyo State’s entertainment industry to flourish.

Remote, while appreciating the government’s support, expressed his gratitude and assured attendees of an unforgettable experience at his show. He promised his unwavering commitment to raising the standards of the entertainment industry in Oyo State.

This landmark event signifies a new era for the entertainment industry in Oyo State, promising growth, unity, and increased economic contributions.
