Hon Olusina Ogunsola(Omo Obasanjo) donates ₦1.4 million to Oluyole LG Pdp to boost unity.

A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola, politically known and popularly adopted as “Omo Obasanjo,” has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of the party by donating the sum of ₦1.4 million to the PDP.

The notable donation was made on Friday, October 24, 2025, during the inaugural general meeting of the PDP held at Idi-Ayunre, the headquarters of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The historic gathering witnessed the presentation of the list of newly elected ward executives, as well as the formal induction of new ward chairmen, signaling a renewed drive for grassroots mobilization and stronger party organization across the local government.

In his remarks shortly after the meeting, Otunba Ogunsola explained that the gesture was both symbolic and purposeful, describing it as an act meant to “wedge the kola nut” — a traditional Yoruba expression signifying peace, unity, and goodwill among brothers and political allies.

According to him, the contribution was not merely financial but a symbol of his dedication to collective progress, stressing that harmony within the party is the foundation for electoral success and sustainable political influence.
