The organisers of the Orumogege Football Tournament led by Amos Adewale Ado have expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Wasilat Adegoke as well as the Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, for their unwavering support toward the growth of grassroots sports in Ogbomoso land.
According to the organising committee, the backing received from the Commissioner and Hon. Sanjo the leader of the House of Assembly who is also member representing Ogbomoso South state constituency has played a significant role in strengthening the tournament’s vision.
“We are sincerely grateful for their continuous encouragement and contributions to youth development. Their support serves as a major motivation for us and the participating teams,” the organisers said.
Aso the organisers were grateful to paramount ruler of Ogbomosoland, Oba Olaoye Ghandi, Orumogege 111,the Soun of Ogbomoso for enabling environment, unwavering support and other development plans which key into the 25- year plan development agenda of Oba Ghandi.
This year’s tournament is set to resume play off at Soun Township Stadium Ogbomoso on Saturday, November 22, featuring registered teams from across Ogbomoso land. Football lovers and community members are eagerly anticipating a competitive and entertaining series of matches.
The Orumogege Football Tournament remains one of the key sporting events promoting unity, youth engagement, and talent development within the Ogbomoso land.
