The Political Head/Administrator, Omi-Apata L.C.D.A., Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina, has inaugurated the construction of a prototype lock-up shop in Bakatari market, a significant milestone in the council’s economic development strategy.
This project aims to create job opportunities, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the commercial landscape of the market.
The prototype shop will serve as a Model for future development in the market, providing a conducive environment for traders and customers.
According to Barr. Oluwasina,“The shop Prototype construction will be completed within 6 weeks.
I use this medium to implore those who have been allocated spaces in the market to ensure that their spaces are developed on or before the ending of the month of September.
Failure to do so, we will have no option but to revoke and re-allocate the spaces to the people that are ready to build the spaces as we want the market to take shape in no time.
”Speaking further, Barr. Olayemi Oluwasina added that “The land designated for the construction of Bakatari market has been earmarked for this purpose for the past 30 years and I am determined to ensure that the market becomes functional during our term.
The construction of the prototype is made possible by the help of God Almighty and the support of a private company known as New Kind Nigeria Ltd.
