Oluyole Market Leaders Pay Solidarity Visit to Akeem Olatunji, Reaffirm Avowed Support for His Administration

As a show of solidarity and support for the incoming government in the Council, market leaders in Oluyole local government also known as ‘Babalojas and Iyalojas’ have paid a visit to the Chairman-elect, Akeem Olatunji, at his private residence.

The visit according to Olatunji, aimed at deepening the existing relationship between government and the market leaders especially in the areas of collaboration and synergy.

Led by the Babaloja and Iyaloja-general of Oluyole, Chief Olalere Mukaila Inaolaji and Chief Mrs. Omolara Gafari, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the Chairman-elect for his dedication to the welfare and advancement of the market community in the Council.

Speaking on behalf of the group yesterday during the visit, Chief Inaolaji lauded Olatunji’s track record of service and pledged their continuous support for his administration on development and robust initiatives within various markets in Oluyole.

The discussion centered around constructive deliberation, as the market leaders and Chairman-elect shared ideas on ways to address pertinent issues affecting them such as infrastructure development, security, and market modernization.

While reaffirming their support for the incoming government, the Oluyole market leaders expressed optimism about the future, citing Akeem Olatunji’s vision and proactive approach to governance as highlighted during his electioneering campaign.

The market leaders equally disclosed that the visit became important as the transition to a new administration approaches adding that the solidarity visit was a testament to the spirit of unity and cooperation among stakeholders.

They called on the Chairman-elect not to renege on his campaign promises to them, urging him to remain the ‘omoluabi’ that has earned him his reputation and integrity in both public and private life.

During the meeting, Akeem Olatunji reiterated his determination to prioritize the interests of the market community and promised to champion policies that enhance economic growth and provide opportunities for small-scale traders.

He acknowledged the critical role of the market leaders as well as various markets in building the local economy and assured the leaders of his commitment to addressing their concerns and promoting inclusive governance.

Olatunji who expressed appreciation to the market leaders for their overwhelming support before, during, and after the political campaign and election thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for redefining the face of political leadership and governance in Nigeria, which according to him has rubbed off on his election.

The Chairman-elect particularly expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde’s political ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro for his selflessness, guidance and leadership, and for always making himself available in the absence of the ever busy governor.

“I’m a beneficiary of Governor Seyi Makinde’s political pedigree and reputation because it is for the sake of his good name that I’m here today as the Chairman-elect and I can only promise to play my part as a GSM political disciple to uphold and build upon that legacy and integrity.

“I’ve listened to your concerns, you’re our fathers and mothers without whom I won’t be able to be here today therefore, all your points have been well noted and I can assure you this is a collective task that we must all be committed to in the interest of Oluyole. With your unwavering support, I know that we shall accomplish our vision.” Olatunji said.
