A businessman and community development advocate, Olaide Ishola Adeniran Gold, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Oluyole Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

Adeniran Gold, who hails from Ward 7, Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, made the declaration in a statement on Tuesday, citing years of grassroots engagement and community service as the motivation behind the decision to seek elective office.
According to the aspirant, the aspiration is rooted in a strong sense of duty to contribute meaningfully to governance and development at the federal level, rather than personal political ambition.

*Educational Background and Professional Experience*

Adeniran Gold disclosed that his educational journey began at Kajola Community Primary School, before proceeding to Zummuratul Hujaj Secondary School, Olorunsogo, Ibadan. The aspirant obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and later earned a Master of Science degree in Finance from Maynooth University, Dublin, Ireland.
According to him, exposure as a businessman and entrepreneur, both within and outside Nigeria, has broadened understanding of economic management, youth empowerment, and the role of sound policies in driving sustainable development.

*Record of Community Interventions*

Ahead of the declaration, the aspirant highlighted several interventions undertaken in Oluyole Local Government without holding any public office.
These include sponsoring free medical outreaches, during which residents benefited from consultations, treatments, surgeries, and specialised eye care services.
Adeniran Gold also listed contributions to the education sector, including the distribution of free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to indigent students, noting that plans are underway to distribute at least 500 additional forms in the coming days.
The aspirant further revealed the distribution of over 5,000 exercise books and other learning materials to pupils and students across various schools and communities in the local government area, describing the initiative as part of efforts to reduce the financial burden on parents and encourage school enrolment.
It was stressed that the interventions were carried out out of concern for community development and not as part of any political campaign.
*Agenda for Oluyole Federal Constituency*
Outlining the agenda, Adeniran Gold identified key challenges confronting Oluyole Federal Constituency, including inadequate healthcare facilities, limited access to quality education, poor road infrastructure, youth unemployment, farming constraints, and security challenges affecting farmlands.
If elected, the aspirant said priority would be given to farmer-friendly policies, including access to affordable inputs, modern farming techniques, agro-processing opportunities, and improved security for agricultural communities.
The declaration also emphasised plans to pursue youth-focused programmes such as skills acquisition centres, startup funding, internships, cooperatives, and improved access to federal employment and entrepreneurship schemes.
Other areas of focus include strengthening primary healthcare delivery, attracting federal infrastructure projects in roads, electricity and water supply, promoting community-based security initiatives, and ensuring transparent and accountable representation through regular town-hall meetings and constituency briefings.
*Call for Support*
Reaffirming commitment to service, Adeniran Gold called on stakeholders and residents of Oluyole Federal Constituency to support the aspiration with prayers and constructive engagement.
“I hereby declare my intention to contest for the position of Member of the House of Representatives, Oluyole Federal Constituency, in the 2027 general elections,” the aspirant stated.
The statement concluded with prayers for peace and development in Ward 7, Oluyole Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
