The convener of the Hotel Managers Conference Africa, Mr. Olugbenga Omotayo Sunday, has condoled with the member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, over the demise of Chief Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora Land.

Chief Adepoju passed away on Thursday at the ripe age of 89.
As condolence messages continue to pour in for the late community leader and builder, Mr. Sunday expressed his deepest condolences to the federal lawmaker, saying that the iconic patriarch left a legacy of community service and a track record of public service.

According to Omotayo on Friday, the history of Ibarapa Land is not complete without Chief Amos, describing the death of the elder statesman as the fall of an Iroko tree.

Olugbenga said Pa Amos’ history is characterised by integrity, love for his community and its people, as well as infrastructural and human capital development.
“My generation was blessed to experience the life and accomplishments of Chief Amos, our own Awolowo in Ibarapa Land.
Going by his intimidating track record of achievements in every aspect of life during his stint in any given position is a reminder that people can actually make a remarkable impact on the lives of their people if they are willing to.

“This is not just a loss to Igboora; it is a loss to the entire Ibarapa Land and to everyone who knew or came across Baba during his impactful 89 years on this earth,” Sunday said.
The international award-winning tourist stressed that Baba was not selfish but rather gave humanity his beloved son, Hon. Adebayo Adepoju, who has since chosen the path of his father in bringing real development to the people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North since 2023.
The Ibarapa-born tourist consoled the lawmaker and the entire family to take solace in the fact that the Asiwaju of Igboora Land left behind a good name and amazing children, emphasising that rather than grieve, it is a time to celebrate a life truly well lived.
