As Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde marks six outstanding years at the helm of Oyo State’s governance, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, has poured out effusive praises in a heartfelt congratulatory message.
The chairman extolled the governor’s visionary leadership, unwavering commitment, and transformative achievements that have redefined governance and development in Oyo State.
Describing Governor Makinde’s tenure as nothing short of miraculous.

He lauded the comprehensive overhaul of the healthcare sector, which saw the renovation and equipping of hundreds of Primary Healthcare Centres, strategic recruitment of healthcare professionals, and the establishment of cutting-edge medical facilities to enhance emergency response.
In education, Olufade praised the massive recruitment drive that added thousands of teachers and support staff to the system, the successful reclaiming of LAUTECH as an Oyo State institution, and the visionary upgrading of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education. These moves, he said, demonstrate the governor’s commitment to education as a pillar for long-term growth and youth empowerment.
The chairman further commended Governor Makinde’s relentless focus on workers’ welfare, highlighting the punctual payment of salaries, the introduction of a 13th-month salary, and the historic wage increases for civil servants and pensioners that have transformed the livelihood of thousands.
Infrastructure development, Olufade noted, has been nothing short of revolutionary.
