I presided over today’s Oyo State House of Assembly plenary session, where we made several significant decisions to drive growth and development in Oyo State.

The Oyo State House of Assembly directed its Committee on Agriculture to investigate the Silo Project at Awe, which was initially awarded in September 2014, but had stalled due to alleged breach of contract, prompting Governor Seyi Makinde to intervene with an out-of-court settlement and contract variation in 2019 to rescue the project.
The House equally received the report of its Committee on Transport, emphasizing the need for the Executive arm of Government to upgrade facilities at the Vehicle Inspection Office for optimal performance.

We discussed a motion on “The Need to digitalize Education management system in Public Primary and Secondary Schools in theState through institutionalization of E-Lesson notes for effective service delivery.
We approved the report of the House Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, focusing on the oversight inspection of facilities in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), and Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCOS).
