In a bold move to tackle water scarcity across communities, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has officially flagged off borehole projects across selected wards in the local government area.

The flag-off ceremony commenced at Ikose Market, Osupa Ward 09, where residents gathered in large numbers to witness what many described as a historic intervention.

The project is designed to provide clean and safe drinking water to communities that have long faced challenges in accessing potable water.

Following the commencement at Ikose Market, the borehole projects extend to Sabo–Taraa Ward 10, Apake (opposite former UBA), and Eledu Community, opposite Sayo Filling Station along Iresa Apa Road, Saja Isale Ora Ward 06.

These strategic locations were carefully selected to ensure that more residents across different wards benefit directly from the initiative.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. George Ogunlade reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development and equitable distribution of democratic dividends. He emphasized that access to clean water remains a top priority, noting that the projects will significantly improve public health, sanitation, and overall wellbeing of the people.

The Chairman expressed sincere appreciation to the Career Officers for their technical guidance and administrative support toward the successful takeoff of the projects. He also thanked the Leader of the House and the Councilors for their unity, cooperation, and presence during the flag-off ceremony, stressing that collective effort remains key to sustainable development.

Community leaders from the benefiting wards commended the Chairman for his responsiveness and dedication to the welfare of the people. They described the initiative as timely and impactful, pledging their continued support for the administration’s development agenda.
