Socio-political activist Aisha Yesuf has criticized Governor Godwin Obaseki for disputing the Edo State governorship election results, which saw Monday Okpebholo (APC) emerge victorious.
Okpebholo secured 291,667 votes, defeating Asue Ighodalo (PDP) with 247,274 votes and Olumide Akpata (LP) with 18,737 votes.
Yesuf questioned Obaseki’s grievances, citing his own democratic record. “Obaseki that refused for 4 years to swear in 14 Edo House of Assembly members… is talking about democracy under attack.”
Obaseki was escorted out of INEC’s collation center by police early Sunday morning.
