The Paramount Ruler of Ogbomosho Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Oba Afolabi Olaoye Ghandi, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership in developing Oyo State’s health sector.

Oba Ghandi made this statement during a visit from the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, led by it Chairman Dr. Akin Fagbemi, to the palace in Ogbomosho town.

Oba Ghandi emphasized the importance of healthcare, saying “Health is Wealth,” and encouraged residents to utilize the town’s health facilities for medical check-ups and treatments.

He also outlined a 25-year development plan for Ogbomosho-land, focusing on providing basic social amenities, including healthcare services.

The paramount ruler advised medical practitioners to treat patients with respect and professionalism, considering them as valued clients and customers.

In his remark, The Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi appreciated Oba Ghandi’s contributions to Ogbomosholand’s development and sought his continued support to elevate the State Hospital, Ogbomosho, to a premier healthcare facility in the state.

Notably, the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board was established in 1987 and oversees 51 health outlets across the state, with zonal offices in Ibadan, Oyo, and Ogbomoso.‏
