The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Ona Ara Branch has bestowed a prestigious honor upon Dr. Kolapo Temitope, affectionately known as GLORIOUS, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ona Ara Local Government Candidate, in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services.

The ceremony, held at the NUT Hall in Aba Emu, was attended by esteemed guests including Hon. Mosobalaje, the PDP Ona Ara Local Government Party Chairman, Chief Waheed Ajao Aderodekun, Director General of the GLOWIN Campaign Council, and other educational stakeholders.

Dr. GLORIOUS graciously dedicated this esteemed award to the resilient and deserving people of Ona Ara Local Government.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. GLORIOUS expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God and the NUT Ona Ara for this significant honor. He emphasized his deep respect and appreciation for teachers, noting that he himself is part of this noble profession. He reiterated the importance of teachers as not only educators but also as moral guides and mentors, stating, “if someone is to be a teacher, he has to be a preacher.”

Furthermore, Dr. GLORIOUS extended his appreciation to the NUT for their unwavering support for the reelection of Governor Seyi Makinde in 2023.

Looking forward to his potential administration, Dr. GLORIOUS outlined his commitment to a transformative agenda encapsulated by the acronym “New Era,” signifying a fresh dawn for Ona Ara Local Government.
