NUJ Names Rep. Agboworin As Best Representative Of The Year In Oyo State

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Chapter, has named
the lawmaker representating Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, as the ‘Best Representative of the Year’ in the state.

According to a letter jointly signed by the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola; Chairman of the Planning Committee, Kemi Olaitan; and Secretary, Omolola Alamu, the honour is in recognition of Rep. Agboworin’s unwavering commitment and sterling service to the people of his constituency and his tireless efforts to bring about positive change in Oyo State.

The statement equally acknowledged the lawmaker’s dedication to public service, his accessibility, and his responsiveness to the needs of his constituents, which have practically arned him the recognition.

It further added that the lawmaker, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, has consistently demonstrated, through his representation, a deep understanding of the challenges facing his people and has worked assiduously to address them.

The award presentation will take place on Friday, October 17, during the grand finale of the NUJ 2025 Press Week, tagged Pen Night.
