The newly inaugurated leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), BCOS Chapel, Oyo State, visited the Eleruwa of Eruwa, HRM Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola (Ajobo-Olurin I), on Saturday, 22 November 2025, as part of its ongoing familiarisation tour across the state.

Chairman Comrade Ademola Balogun and Secretary Gbemisola Adebayo led the delegation to the palace, where they engaged the monarch on strengthening cooperation between the media and traditional institutions, especially on issues affecting local communities.
Oba Adegbola used the occasion to commend Governor Seyi Makinde for the transformative projects currently underway in Eruwa, citing the town’s reconstruction works and the rehabilitation of the Ido–Eruwa Road as tangible evidence of purposeful leadership.

The monarch further expressed satisfaction with the renovation of the historic Eleruwa Palace, describing it as a gesture that reinforces the administration’s respect for cultural heritage and traditional authority.


He offered prayers for Governor Makinde, asking for wisdom and divine support to continue driving development in Oyo State.
