New Year: Yeye Adenike Eulogies Oyo Deputy Gov, Wife’s Humanitarian Gesture As She Distributes Cash, Relief Packages

In complementing the humanitarian gesture and support provided by Oyo Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, for the betterment of the Kishi community, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party in Irepo local government and CEO of T-Gold Unisex Salon and Boutique in Ibadan, Yeye Adenike Aderibigbe Fauziyat Remi-Olarinde, distributed cash and relief packages to residents to commemorate the new year festivities.

Adenike, who lauded Barr. Lawal and his wife’s various pet programs in alleviating the suffering of kishians as well as ensuring that rapid development is brought to the community under the Makinde’s led administration, added that she also need to put smiles on the faces of Kishi residents with cash and staple foods to contribute her own quota towards the development of the community.

She gave this commendation on Sunday evening at her residence in Kishi during the empowerment program and cash and relief package distributions that included food items and ingredients.

Nasiru Ogede Ayinde, SA on Projects, Hon. Badmos Adesola, SA on Domestic, Hon. Kunle Kazeem Olawoyin, Hon. Odejide Ismail, Hon. Muhammad Jamiu Baki, Alh. J.S. Amodu, Alh. Ahmad I.T. Omupo, Alhaja TT Olayiwola Alhaja Sariyu Yushau, and a host of others.

Cash, rice, and other essential materials were distributed to over two hundred people as part of her efforts to put smiles on the residents and to alleviate the economic hardship as a result of the subsidy removal.

Addressing newsmen following the empowerment programme, Yeye Nike acknowledged that she was aware of how difficult times are.

She also hinted that the gesture was intended to support the efforts of Oyo Deputy Governor Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal and his wife, Chief Mrs. Ajibola Lawal, in easing the financial hardship in Irepo local government through a number of pet programs.

According to her, No matter how hard the times, we can help each other participate in the festivities that end the year.

She said the items were distributed in an inclusive manner that ensured that a certain number of women, elderly people, youths, and special cases were accommodated across wards in the community.

“My passion to put smile on people’s faces can never be weighed, my employees and those around me are my testimonies. This is not the first and it won’t be the last – this is just a tip of the iceberg.

“Once again, I am appreciating the Oyo State Deputy Governor and his wife, H.E. Barr Bayo Lawal and H.E. Mrs. Ajibola Lawal, for their unwavering support and the presence of all the political functionaries, party and community leaders, friends, families, associates, and well-wishers.

“Thank you all and may we have more wonderful courses to celebrate in unity”.

In their separate remarks, Alhaji JS Amodu and other PDP chieftains and government functionaries in the town, who commended Yeye Adenike unwavering generosity, however described the gesture as a top notch and urged her not to relent in her good doings.

They added that Yeye Adenike had demonstrated that she was conscious of the predicament of the people and remained committed to relieving their suffering even during the festive season when people should be celebrating.

They equally noted that the charitable act is in line with the legacy of the Peoples Governor, Seyi Makinde, and his Co-pilot, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal.

Excited by the gifts, one of the beneficiaries said: “I feel so much happy to receive the cash and food palliatives, this met me unaware and I must say this happens at the exact time. With this, at least for few weeks to come we will be winning and dining in our home, Thank you so much, Yeye Adenike.”

Other beneficiaries emphasized that the philanthropic gesture by Yeye Adenike who they fondly referred to as Yeye Oge, had placed her in their hearts perpetually, while calling on other individuals from the community to emulate her.
