The National Council for Women’s Society (NCWS) Ibadan South-West chapter honoured Honourable Kehinde Akande, Chairman of Ibadan South-West Local Government, and his wife, Mrs Mojoyinola Akande, for their outstanding contributions to women’s and youth development in the local government area.

The event took place at the Ibadan South West Local Government Secretariat, located in Aleshinloye, Ibadan.
Mr Akande praised the NCWS chapter for their efforts in supporting families and communities, emphasising that a husband’s success depends on his wife’s character and support.

Mrs Akande urged women to maintain peace and unity in their homes and communities. The NCWS Ibadan South-West President, highlighted the organisation’s 65-year history of promoting women’s welfare and encouraging women to contribute positively to their communities.


The NCWS Patron, Dr Balogun, presented the award to the Akandes, praising the executive chairman’s tireless efforts in promoting women’s empowerment and youth development in the local government area.
Dr Balogun described Mr Akande as a role model and inspiration to many, and commended his commitment to community service.

Honourable Tajudeen Adigun, Vice Chairman of the Council, and his wife were also honoured with awards of excellence by the NCWS for their outstanding contributions to community development and women’s empowerment.

The organisation recognised their efforts in supporting various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women and young people in the area.
The event was attended by prominent community leaders, NCWS members, and other dignitaries, who all praised the awardees for their dedication to public service.
The NCWS Ibadan South-West chapter continues to recognise and reward individuals who contribute positively to the development of their communities.
