Month of Blessings: Assembly Aspirant, Dr. Afolabi Congratulates Ona-Ara Muslim Faithful on Crescent Moon Sighting*

An aspirant for the Ona-Ara State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Dr. Temitope Afolabi, has congratulated Muslim faithful across Ona-Ara Local Government on the sighting of the crescent moon marking the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message released at the dawn of the 1447AH fasting period, Dr. Afolabi described Ramadan as a sacred season of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and compassion for humanity. He noted that the holy month presents a profound opportunity for believers to strengthen their devotion to Allah, cultivate patience, and extend charity to the less privileged in society.

The aspirant extended warm felicitations to all Muslim constituents in Ona-Ara, urging them to observe the fasting period with sincerity, humility, and fervent prayers for peace, unity, and sustainable development in the local government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large. He emphasized that the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance, and generosity inherent in Ramadan are essential for building a harmonious and progressive society.

Dr. Afolabi further called on residents of Ona-Ara, irrespective of religious affiliation, to uphold peaceful coexistence and mutual support throughout the holy month, noting that Ramadan symbolizes collective hope and moral upliftment for communities.

“On the auspicious sighting of the Ramadan crescent, I rejoice with all Muslim faithful in Ona-Ara Local Government. May this holy month deepen our faith, purify our hearts, and usher abundant blessings and peace into our land,” he stated.
