Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, a Federal House of Representatives aspirant and respected community leader, has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In a heartfelt statement released to the press, Babanumi described the nonagenarian monarch as “a symbol of wisdom, peace, and cultural heritage whose reign continues to inspire generations of Ibadan sons and daughters.” He praised Olubadan for his enduring contributions to the unity and development of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
“Baba Olubadan is not just a royal father; he is a guiding light for all of us,” Babanumi said. “His leadership reflects deep-rooted values of humility, wisdom, and service. As he marks 90 glorious years, we celebrate a life filled with honor and a throne that continues to bless our people.”
The House of Reps hopeful from Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency also used the occasion to call on indigenes and residents of Ibadanland to reflect on the monarch’s legacy of peace and communal progress.
“As we rejoice with His Imperial Majesty today, may we all be inspired to emulate his dedication to unity, development, and the preservation of our cultural identity,” he added.
