As the First Lady of Oyo State, Engr. (Mrs) Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, marks another glorious year, a wave of heartfelt tributes continues to pour in from across the state and beyond. Among the notable voices celebrating her is Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi, a prominent House of Representatives aspirant for the Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency and founder of the Sunday Olusegun Babanumi Initiative (SOBI).

In his birthday felicitation message, Mayegun Babanumi described the First Lady as a “pillar of grace, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to the progress of Oyo State.”
“Today, we celebrate a woman whose heart beats for the people; a woman of excellence, compassion, and noble vision. Engr. (Mrs) Tamunominini Makinde has redefined the role of a First Lady with dignity, intellect, and genuine service to humanity. Her motherly touch can be felt across all corners of Oyo State, especially among women, youth, and children,” he said.

Babanumi praised Mrs. Makinde’s steadfast support for her husband, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde, and her transformative role in uplifting communities through education, healthcare, and social development programs.

“On behalf of my family, my supporters, and the entire SOBI movement, I wish our dear First Lady abundant grace, joy, and divine protection. May this new year open greater doors for her, not only as the First Lady of Oyo State but as a potential mother of our great nation. Her elegance, humility, and service are blessings to us all,” he added.
