The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency of Oyo State, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has congratulated workers in the country on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day celebrations.

He noted that the May Day offers an opportunity to celebrate workers and highlight their importance in the government’s efforts to positively impact the lives of the citizenry.

In a statement signed by his Media Group, which was made available to journalists, Agboworin stated that workers’ contribution to the socio-economic development of the state and the country at large cannot be overemphasized.

Agboworin, a two-term lawmaker and Chairman of House Committee on Narcortic Drugs, urges government at all levels to ensure that the service they provide to nation building should not go unrewarded.

He expressed that the country’s workforce has demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and commitment as critical partners to national service.

Further paying glowing tribute to Nigerian workers, applauding their resilience, diligence, and unwavering commitment, Agboworin called for a better welfare for workers in view of the sacrifices they have made in building the nation.
