A Nigerian family of five has reportedly been deported from the United Kingdom following a visa dispute that spiraled into a full-blown immigration crisis.

According to TikTok user @the.story.town, the woman secured a UK visa and traveled with her husband and three children, who were listed as dependents. However, shortly after their arrival, trouble began when the woman allegedly began asserting control over her husband, reminding him that he was only in the UK as her dependent.

The tension reportedly escalated when she threatened—and eventually went ahead—to remove her husband from the visa, effectively rendering his stay illegal. Matters took a more dramatic turn when the husband discovered that a young girl included on their visa application was not actually their biological child.

In a bid to protect himself, the man reportedly contacted the UK Home Office to report the irregularity. The revelation prompted authorities to revoke the family’s visa altogether, leading to their deportation.

Adding to their woes, the family had allegedly borrowed ₦20 million to fund their relocation, a debt that remains unpaid following their forced return to Nigeria.

The story has since gone viral across social media platforms, sparking widespread reactions. Many Nigerians expressed shock and pity for the family’s situation, while others saw it as a cautionary tale about deceit and domestic strife in the pursuit of a better life abroad.
