Makinde’s Year of Transformation and Fulfilled Promises – Dare Adeleke

Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Federal Constituency Matters, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has described the first year of the governor’s second term in office as a period of transformation and fulfilled promises.

The PDP Chieftain, in a statement signed in Ibadan, states that Makinde has redefined governance in Oyo State, prioritizing human security, transparency, inclusivity, and sustainable development.

Adeleke notes that “whereas other governors slowed down during their second term in office, it is awesome and indeed commendable that Governor Makinde accelerated the speed with which he carried out projects and development in the state: “His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, continues to work tirelessly to translate the promises he made to the people when he assumed office, into tangible actions and outcomes.

“One area where His Excellency has excelled is in infrastructural development. He embarked on the construction and rehabilitation of roads, which has today decongested all the gridlocks on our roads, especially the notorious Iwo Road. The construction of solid overhead bridges across the state has brought seamless progress to the lives of the people.

“His Excellency has not neglected education, which is the bedrock of any prosperous society. The institutions of learning in Oyo have received new bursts of energy with the intervention of Governor Makinde.

“Healthcare, agriculture, and other sectors are not left out, and as a matter of fact, the average Oyo citizen has seen an improvement in his or her lifestyle, such that we can comfortably say that Seyi Makinde has pushed poverty into a tight crevice in Oyo State.

“We must give the governor an A+ for his success in the area of security. Through collaboration with security agencies, community engagement initiatives, and investment in crime prevention, we can comfortably say Oyo is no longer the hotbed of violence as it was in the past.

“It is today on record that when good governance is mentioned, Governor Makinde’s name tops the list of governors who have recorded sterling performance in government.”

Adeleke congratulated the governor on his one year in office, with the words: “Your Excellency, Governor Makinde, the shining star of Oyo, Omitutun, Omoluabi, Oyo people are super proud of you. We are indeed blessed to have an exceptionally wholesome great man like you as our governor. You are an example to the younger population of Oyo that greatness can be achieved through dedication and hard work, and you have now given them not only hope but also equipped them with the facilities to be great. I wish you an even more successful tenure, God’s protection, and blessings for you and your wonderful family.”
