Oyo State has emerged as a top performer in the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal, as per the latest rankings from the National Examination Council (NECO). Under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, the state government has demonstrated a strong commitment to education, yielding impressive results. Oyo State proudly secured the third position nationwide, a commendable feat that reflects the tremendous progress being made in the state’s education sector.

We celebrate the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), and all education agencies and boards in Oyo State for their consistent dedication and coordination.

By allocating over 20% of its budget to education, Oyo State surpasses the UNESCO-recommended standard, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving education quality. This investment supports initiatives that enhance teaching and learning, aligning with key global frameworks, including the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 4.5, and 4.7.
