MAKINDE’s COMMISSIONER HON TOYIN BALOGUN HOSTS SEGMENT OF IBADAN NORTH POLITICAL PILLARS*

On the 17th of December the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion played host at her instance to the leadership structure of her local government led by the Party Chairman Comrade Mustapha Boluwatife who led a contingent comprising all the Ward Chairmen of the Ibadan North local government

Deliberations at the meeting centred around the following salient issues:

1.Strategies to enhance internal cohesion within the local government

2. Strategies to achieve increased membership drive during the next membership drive cycle once INEC opens the window

3.The Commissioner’s plans for a robust Christmas celebration by her people were discussed

The Comrade Mustapha led executives lauded the long term commitment of the Honorable Commissioner to welfaristic interventions over the years for the benefit of citizens of the 12 wards of the local government both male and female, stating that he was aware of Hon( Mrs) Toyin Balogun’s welfaristic interventions and support for the local government as far back as 2017/2018 .

The exco also appreciated her for being accommodating and keeping her doors open to all and prayed that the Almighty continue to sustain and empower her to do even more for the people of Ibadan North and the other 32 local governments she is responsible for their social welfare

The Honorable Commissioner in her comments warmly congratulated the nascent exco, appreciating them for the evident cohesion within their ranks and for their noteworthy achievement in stabilising the polity in the 12 wards of the local govt within the short time they have been in office

She touched briefly on the observation of the Apex Chairman Comrade Mustapha on her long term commitment to supporting the party which she had started every Christmas and Ileya since 2017/2018 with distribution of food items to citizens of the LG

She stated that as office holders,it’s imperative that we extend hands of love and compassion to our people particularly when they are in need and during festivities

She explained further that it behoves us as leaders to do this because we are reprentatives of our Principal; His Excellency.Party members and citizens might not have direct access to His Excellency but as we appointed & elected leaders meet our constituents at their points of need,it will enable them develop a sense of belonging which will engender greater commitment and loyalty to the party

Hon( Mrs) Toyin Balogun promised to make robust arrangements for a joyful yuletide celebration for her people as is her usual practice and truly, the pillars of Ibadan North Local Government left the Commissioner’s office with glad tidings that would put smiles on the faces of constituents of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency for the Christmas season

Strategies to engender sense of commitment by constituents and to increase effective mobilization of new members to swell the ranks of the party were also discussed.

The engagement ended on a note of the Chairmen restating their commitment and loyalty to the leader of the party in the state; His Excellency Governor Makinde and the party while committing to working hands in gloves with all appointed and elected leaders to ensure that the Ibadan North LG maintains its pride of place in terms of delivering highest electoral votes

The Honorable Commissioner then affirmed to the pillars of the local govt that they can always count on her support in the interest of the progress of the citizens of her local government and by extension, the other 32 local governments of the State under the ambits of her ministry
