In a renewed effort to strengthen security at the grassroots level, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has renovated the vigilante building located beside Olagbemiro House, Oke-Ado, within the council area.

Beyond the structural renovation, the chairman also provided two solar power systems to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply at the facility. The installation of the solar units will enhance the vigilante corps’ operational efficiency, especially during nighttime patrols and emergency responses.
The upgraded building now offers a more conducive and functional environment for the local security outfit, which plays a crucial role in maintaining peace and protecting lives and property across Ogbomoso North.

Speaking during the inspection of the renovated facility, Hon. George Ogunlade reaffirmed that security remains a top priority of his administration. He stressed that meaningful development can only thrive in a peaceful and secure environment.


“Our vigilante officers are critical partners in safeguarding our communities. It is our responsibility as a government to provide them with the necessary support and a conducive working environment to carry out their duties effectively. We will continue to support all security agencies with full commitment and satisfaction,” he stated.
Hon. George also commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his consistent efforts in strengthening the security architecture across Oyo State. He noted that the governor’s proactive leadership continues to inspire impactful interventions at the local government level.

The renovation of the vigilante building and the provision of two solar power systems beside Olagbemiro House, Oke-Ado, stand as another testament to Hon. George dedication to improving security infrastructure and sustaining peace within Ogbomoso North.
