The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde was in attendance at the Lekan Salami stadium, Ibadan to witness Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan 3SC’s last game of 2023/2024 season of NPFL.

The stadium was full to the brim by the Olúyọ̀lé soccer warlords fans to cheer their darling team to victory over Sporting Lagos.

Though 3SC recorded a win over Sporting Lagos through Christian Pyagbara’s 38th minutes goal, as he headed home Ghali Fhalke’s across but the victory was not enough to secure continental ticket.

Enyimba’s two nil triumph over Plateau United in Aba, dabbled the dream of 3SC to participate in CAF competition next season.

Governor Makinde who encouraged both teams immediately after the game, presented a cheque of five hundred thousand naira to 3SC’s defender, Gbolagade Adelowo as the team’s best player of the season.

The Gbenga Ogunbote’s side accrued 62 points from eighteen wins, eight draws and twelve losses to ended fourth on the log.
