The honourable member representing Ibadan South East Constituency 2 at the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Olayinka Omikunle has commended the efforts of the Oyo State Governor Engr.Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State Independent Electoral commission (OYSIEC) over the free and fair of Saturday Chairmanship and Councillorship election across the 33 Local Government Area of Oyo State

The lawmaker who addressed the Journalist shortly after casting his votes at his polling unit in ward 11 area of Ibadan South East Local Government

Hon.Omikunle who expressed satisfaction with the arrangement put in place by the OYSIEC including the envy presence of security personnel who ensured peaceful exercise of the election process.

According to the lawmaker “this election to the best of my knowledge is free, fair and credible. People have come out to exercise their franchise and cast their votes for candidates of their choice without molestation.

Let me remind you that some people were in power for eight years and controlling the affairs of this state while they only organised the local government election once at the very last year of their tenure.

Now, this is the second local government election organised by Gov.Seyi Makinde administration and the oppositions are still complaining about it. I don’t know what they are complaining about Even during their time people were not giving the opportunity to come out at all.

I can also tell you that the opposition are not on ground at all in this Oyo State where Engr Makinde is performing everyday. I will keep saying it that he is the best performing Governor Oyo State has ever had.

I want to call on every elected officers at all level to continue work towards the developmental project and stick to sustainable development agenda of Gov.Seyi Makinde as this is the best ways to earn the trust of electorate
