I am excited to receive this overwhelming confidence from you all, you have spoken through your votes of support to the WOLEKOSEYI movement, that we are championing. I thank God for giving us this victory, please go to ward 1, move to ward 2 to 12, sound it and shout it wherever the nomenclature AKINYELE is being mentioned, that now, we have our Local Government back.

Like I said during my campaign , I will run a very accessible Government, I will give leadership, your challenges are now my challenges, I am humbled by this victory, I call on my brothers who contested this office with me, to come and let us have a cross-fertilization of our varying ideologies, towards moving our dear Local Government forward together. I believe in the words of Fidel Castro that when men carry the same idea in their heart nothing can isolate them; neither the wall of the prison nor the sod of the cemetery, for a single conscience and a single spirit will sustain them all.

Let us therefore carry the idea of moving this Local Government forward together. Friends and associates, I need you one more time, to move with me now and go back to everywhere we went during our campaign to appreciate them for believing in us and re-assure them of our commitment to every letter of the promises made during the campaign.

This Victory is for everyone who believed and sacrificed their all for this great day. I accept this victory with the promise to sustain the developmental strides of our darling and great Leader, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, H.E Engr Seyi Makinde and to position our Local Government in the forefront where it belongs.
