LG poll: Oyo Deputy Chief Whip, Adebisi Commends Voters Over Massive Turnout, Lauds OYSIEC, Security Agencies.

Lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest state constituency 1, Honourable Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi has commended people of Ibadan Southwest local government for turning out en masse to vote at the local government election which held on Saturday.

The lawmaker also rated the conduct of the election high, stating it compared favourably with elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The governor said these after casting his vote at Unit 05, Ward 6 Ita-Foko in Ibadan Southwest LGA of Oyo State.

While addressing journalists after exercising his franchise, Hon. Adebisi said, “ibadan Southwest local government and especially in constituency 1 turn out is impressive and is orderly . This is almost our 5th year in office and Governor Seyi Makinde is holding local government election for the second time, it is a milestone that has break the record of the past administration.

“ our people are having a say in who should govern them now and that’s why this turn out is en mass and peaceful”.

“You can see around also that the people are going about, performing the exercise peacefully and the traffic restriction is being obeyed by the people. So, I will commend our people for coming out to take seriously democracy at that level.”

Hon. Adebisi also commend the OYSIEC for conducting another successful local government polls, he also noted that the security report about the election had been excellent.
