The Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2024 local government election, Hon. George Ogunlade, on Wednesday, received a rousing welcome from leaders, members and other stakeholders of the party, as well as community leaders, as he arrived Aje-Ogunbado ward 5, in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo state, in continuation of his ongoing ward-tour to seek support ahead of the April election.

Ogunlade, who also visited Okelerin ward 8 and Osupa ward 9, respectively, was received by a crowd of supporters, amid cheers and jubilation.

He was in company of his running mate, Hon. Salawu Taofeek Adigun, PDP councillors, Ogbomosho North Party Chairman Hon. Hamzat, Ogbomosho North Council Chairman, Hon. Kabir Ayoade and Ogbomosho North LCDA Chairperson, Alhaja Adijat Oritoke Rainbow, Hon. Olufemi Onireti.

Others were Hon. Alamu Sunday Frayo, Hon. Sanjo Damilare B square, Hon. Sola Ajagbe, Prince Tewogbola Cash man, Hon. Rabiu Bello, Hon. Ibrahim Abdulazeez Leaders, members of the Campaign Council, Mobilizer of Campaign team, Hon. Ayorinde Lekan Actor and Youth leader.

Addressing several community leaders, youths and women during the ward-tour campaign, the PDP candidate, Hon. Ogunlade appealed for their support, saying he’s ready to serve.

He reassured that if elected, his administration will ensure the delivery of the dividends of democracy to all people of the local government, leveraging his wealth of experience and capacity.

Ogunlade however expressed gratitude to Ogbomoso North residents for their show of love since his political journey at grassroot, particularly their warm reception upon the arrival of his campaign train, promising that he will never betray the trust placed in him.

In his remarks, the Campaign Director, Hon. Sunday Bankole, said that the mammoth crowd that greeted Asue Ogunlade’s visit is a true reflection of his acceptance by the people of Ogbomoso North Local Government.

Bankole described Ogunlade as an exceptional grassroots political mobilizer with deep understanding of local politics while assuring that he will continue to serve the interest of all party members and the general public as this will further entrench Ogbomoso North as PDP political stronghold.
