The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, as well as the Ogbomoso zone, on Thursday, officially presented the party’s flag to Hon. Olateju Michael as the Chairmanship candidate for Oriire Local Government Area.

The event, which took place at a gathering of party faithful and supporters, was graced by top dignitaries and party stalwarts.

The PDP Chairman in Oyo State, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, who was represented by the party’s secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and the Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Segun Ogunwuyi took to the podium to make the formal presentation of the party flag to Hon. Olateju Michael, amidst cheers and applause from the enthusiastic crowd.

Addressing journalist after the presentation, notable leaders from the Oriire Local Government expressed confidence in Hon. Olateju Michael’s leadership qualities, citing his track record of service and dedication to the party’s ideals.

They emphasized the importance of unity within the party and urged all members to rally behind Hon. Olateju Michael in ensuring victory at the polls.

“Hon. Olateju Michael represents the values of the PDP – integrity, commitment to the people, and a vision for progress.

“We believe he is the right candidate to lead Oriire Local Government to greater heights,” they added.

In his remarks, Hon. Olateju Michael thanked the party leadership for the honor bestowed upon him and pledged to work tirelessly for the development of Oriire Local Government.

He reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development, promising to uphold the party’s principles and agenda.

He continued by saying that, “I am humbled by the trust and confidence reposed in me by the PDP. Together, we will build a vibrant and prosperous Oriire Local Government that caters to the needs of all its residents.”

Hon. Olateju Michael also took the opportunity to appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde as well as his Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, for his unwavering support and guidance throughout the campaign process.

He acknowledged the collaborative efforts of party members and supporters, noting that their dedication is crucial to achieving success.

Among others presented with flags were Seun Ojo for Ogooluwa Local Government, Oyedokun Timothy for Ogbomoso South, Hon. Isiah for Surulere Local Government, and Hon. George Ogunlade for Ogbomoso North, highlighting the party’s comprehensive approach to fielding competent candidates across the state.

The event witnessed a large turnout of notable personalities, including Comm. Prince Dotun Oyelade, Former Deputy Chief of Staff Razaq Agbeti, Hon. Bayo Bankole, Ezekiel Oyedepo, Rabiu Bello, Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle, Hon. John Adisa Oke, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, Olufemi Onireti, Adeniran Alagbe, Hon. Aremu Adijat Rainbow, Taiwo Alagbe, Felix Akande, and many others who came to show their support for the PDP and its candidates.
