A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Adeosun Muyiwa Aderemi, popularly known as Eddy, has called on party leaders, elders and stakeholders to embrace unity and reconciliation following the recent issues surrounding the party congress in the local government.

Hon Muyiwa Eddy made the appeal in a statement while reacting to the developments that trailed the APC congress in the area.
He acknowledged that the congress witnessed some challenges and setbacks. However, he stressed that the party must not allow internal disagreements to weaken its strength ahead of future elections.

According to him, the focus of party members should now shift toward rebuilding unity and preparing adequately for the forthcoming local government, state and federal elections.

He urged party elders, leaders and stakeholders to prioritize peace, understanding and collective progress, noting that unity within the party would be key to achieving victory in future electoral contests.
“As a young member of the party who believes strongly in quality representation and competency, I humbly appeal to our respected elders, leaders and stakeholders to allow love to reign among us,” he said.

Hon. Muyiwa Eddy warned that continued division within the party could negatively affect its chances in the 2027 elections, adding that the people of Itesiwaju deserve purposeful leadership and development.

“We must not allow our great party to be defeated in 2027 because of internal disagreements. The name ‘Itesiwaju’ itself means progress, and that progress must be reflected in the prosperity and unity of our party,” he added.
Aderemi Muyiwa Eddy, a former Supervisory Councillor for Education and former Councillor representing Ward 6 in Itesiwaju Local Government described his appeal as a respectful call for reconciliation and cooperation among party members, emphasizing that collective efforts would strengthen the APC and position it for electoral success.
Hon. Muyiwa Aderemi, who is hopeful for the Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency seat in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting development, good governance and effective representation for the people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency.
