The Chairperson of Lagelu Local Government, Mrs. Taiwo Mudashiru has officially launched a mass distribution campaign of Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNs) at the Local Government Secretariat in Iyana-Offa. The event, marked by enthusiasm and hope, drew a diverse crowd of community leaders, health practitioners, faith leaders, traditional rulers, and residents, all united in the fight against malaria.
The initiative, aimed at curbing the prevalence of malaria in Lagelu LGA, underscores the local government’s dedication to improving healthcare access and protecting vulnerable populations.

Mrs. Mudashiru, addressing the gathering, emphasized the critical role of ITNs in preventing malaria, a disease that continues to pose a significant health challenge in Nigeria. “Today, we take a bold step toward a healthier Lagelu,” she declared.


“These nets are not just tools; they are shields of protection for our families, our children, and our future…. With consistent use of these nets, we can significantly reduce malaria cases in our communities.”

The event was a colorful blend of purpose and celebration, with attendees ranging from revered traditional leaders to eager residents, all sharing a common goal.
Community leaders praised the initiative as a testament to the local government’s proactive leadership, while health practitioners highlighted the importance of proper net usage to maximize impact.
