In a significant move to bolster the security and safety of educational facilities, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, has officially kickstart the “Light Up Our Schools” initiative at Ifesowapo Community High School, Wofun.

The launch of the initiative occurred during an inter-house sports event by the high school on Wednesday.

The initiative was initially announced by Chairman Kamorudeen a few weeks ago during the commissioning of new classroom blocks facilitated by Rep. Akinmoyede Olafisoye in Lalupon.

The program aims to install reliable night lighting solutions across schools in the local government area, addressing pressing safety concerns associated with zero lighting in educational facilities at night.

The initiative involves installation of solar-powered night lighting systems in educational facilities throughout Lagelu— with the aim of not only illuminating schools but also deterring potential threats to educational facilities.
