Kogi Senator, Natasha, Gifts Constituents Rice, Others
The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has distributed rice loaded in six trucks to her constituents for the Christmas.
Akpoti-Uduaghan made this known in photos shared on her Facebook page in the late hours of Sunday.
The lawmaker distributed 7,200 bags of rice, 10,000 wrappers, 20,000 notebooks and 5,000 school bags accross the five local government areas of her senatorial district.
The beneficiaries of the gesture, according to her, included widows, underprivileged, amongst others.
Her statement read, “While the rice is currently being distributed, the wrappers, notebooks and school bags will be given out when I visit home.
“I shall also commission our streetlights that have greatly illuminated our dark roads. Don’t worry, we shall choke all nooks and corners of Kogi Central with streetlights in the next 3 1/2 years by God’s grace. Do be patient, we shall get to your street in due time.
“As your representative at the National Assembly, I feel indebted to you as my people, regardless of our political affiliations, to celebrate the Christmas with you in this manner.
“The significance of distributing the rice to households across the district is aimed at enabling everyone to celebrate the festive season with their families.”
