Just In: MAKINDE APPROVES UPGRADE OF AGODI GARDENS
As part of his efforts to use Tourism to boost the economy of Oyo state, the State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the upgrade of the Agodi Gardens, Ibadan to an international Botanical gardens tourist center.
The Governor gave the hint during an international Tourism Summit Dinner and Award Night.
Governor Makinde, maintained that he would never relent in ensuring that the accelerated development and sustainable development roadmap for the State in Omituntun 1.0 and 2.0 are fully achieved.
He said one of the best ways to demonstrate what he had promised the good people of Oyo state is to appreciate those who have contributed immensely to the development of tourism potentials in the state.
Awards of excellence were later presented to some outstanding Individuals and groups that have contributed positively to the development of tourism in the state.
Frontline Ibadan business mogul and philanthropist, Chief Dotun Sanusi, represented by COMPOL Fatai Owoseni (rtd), was bestowed with the award, Oyo State Tourism Person of the year.
