In a landmark state address, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the commencement of 30 km inner road construction in each of the 33 local governments across the state. This ambitious infrastructure project aims to improve connectivity and enhance the quality of life for residents in all parts of the state.
The Governor declared this at the state address held at the house of Chiefs in Ibadan, the state capital.
Makinde said the rehabilitation of inner roads is a top priority for his administration, stating that rehabilitation of 30 km of inner roads in each local government, with funds for the project already allocated and sitting in the respective accounts of the local governments, the project is set to commence in August, and has assured that his administration is committed to ensuring its successful implementation.
“ I have given a nod for the rehabilitation of 30 km inner roads in each of the 33-local government of the state, with the funds sitting in each of the local government accounts, this development is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s infrastructure and economic development, creating jobs and stimulating growth in all 33 local governments.
The construction of inner roads will enhance connectivity and improve access to essential services, promote economic growth, and boost the overall standard of living in the state” he stated.
