The Government of Oyo State, led by the esteemed Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, hosted the 64th Independence Day celebration at the iconic Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The Deputy Governor, His Excellency Bayo Lawal, Head of Service, Honourable Commissioners, esteemed members of the Elders Council, and Local Government Chairmen graced the occasion, lending their support to this momentous event.
The celebration showcased the best of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, a colourful parade by law enforcement agencies, NYSC, and schools across the state, vibrant performances by cultural groups and displays of unity, strength, and resilience
We commend Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to unity, development, and progress of Oyo State. Under his leadership, the state continues to flourish.
