Real Name: Akeem Salawu

Age: 45 (young at heart and ready to shake things up!)

Hometown: Born in Ibadan, Oluyoro Hospital – repping Oyo from day one!

The Origin Story

Akeem’s journey started in Ibadan, grinding through Bodija International School and Saint Patrick’s Grammar School (1990–1991), before owning his high school years at Federal Government College, Ogbomoso (1991–1996).

He leveled up with a BSc from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (1997–2003), and dropped some serious knowledge bombs with an MSc from Brunel University, London (2009–2010). This guy’s been building his skills to build our future!

Why He’s Built Different

Akeem is a tech wizard with over 15 years as an ICT consultant, slaying projects across Nigeria, the UK, Canada, and the US. From making transportation systems smoother than jelly to securing financial institutions and upgrading government agencies with next-gen e-governance, Akeem’s been dropping solutions that actually work. Think cybersecurity, scalable IT vibes, and tech that puts people first.

Growing up in Nigeria, Akeem saw the Mekunu (the real ones, the everyday hustlers) get hit hard by undeserving governance and corruption. It lit a fire in him. Inspired by the Agbekoya Revolt’s epic fight for the underdog, he’s stepping into politics to flip the script. His vibe? Ilana Mekunu – a movement that gives power back to the people, not the elites.

His Vision: No Cap, Just Impact
Akeem’s all about real talk and real results. His core values are straight-up:

•Integrity: No shady deals, just transparencyis & authenticity

•Equity: Everyone gets a fair shot, especially the Mekunu.

•Innovation: Using tech to fix broken systems and level up Oyo.

•Service: Leading for you, not for clout or cash.

His big moves?

•Economic Glow-Up: Massive investment in agriculture is the real oil that would create jobs and stack sustainable cash for the Mekunu. Think farms, agro-allied industry, local and international markets, and money in your pocket.

•Next-Level Infrastructure: Roads, healthcare, and schools that actually work, powered by tech.

•E-Governance Realness: Transparent systems so you know what’s good and can hold leaders accountable.

•True Federalism: More power to Oyo so our needs come first.

•Sustainable Future: Building an Oyo that thrives for Gen Z and beyond.

•Security of lives and property: leveraging on world-class tech systems

Beyond the Campaign Trail
When he’s not changing the game, Akeem’s out here living his truth:

•Urban Gardening: Growing food and sustainability, keeping it green.

•African History Geek: Diving deep into Yoruba culture and stories of resilience.

•Tech Mentor: Hooking up young people with coding skills for the bag.

•Community Builder: Supporting literacy programs to empower underserved communities.

His inspo? Legends like Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who fought for education and fairness, Nelson Mandela, the GOAT of justice, and the Agbekoya OGs who stood up for the Mekunu.

Why Akeem’s Your Guy

Akeem’s not just another politician dropping empty promises. He’s got the global expertise to bring world-class solutions and the heart to fight for Nigeria’s real issues. He’s lived the struggle, seen the system fail the Mekunu, and he’s ready to fix it with tech, transparency, and hustle. This isn’t just a campaign—it’s a Ballot Revolution to bring dignity, justice, and prosperity back to Oyo.
