Igboho Hosts Elite Broadcasters on Solidarity Visit, Calls for Media Backing of Tinubu’s Continuity

The professional presenters under the umbrella of The Elite Broadcasters (TEB) on Tuesday paid a solidarity visit to the residence of renowned Yoruba activist and Akoni Oodua, Oloye Sunday Adeyemo.

The meeting, which held in the morning at his Soka residence, drew key leaders of the association. The delegation was led by their Mayor, Aare Olabode Anisoloja, who also serves as Deputy Director of Programmes at Agidigbo FM.

Speaking during the visit, the leadership of The Elite Broadcasters reiterated the group’s readiness to support Oloye Sunday Adeyemo Igboho through responsible broadcasting and professional journalism. They stressed the importance of positive storytelling, ethical media practice, and strategic collaboration in projecting Yoruba interests and values.

In his response, Oloye Sunday Adeyemo Igboho expressed profound appreciation for the visit and the show of solidarity. He urged members not to work and pray for him alone, but to also extend their efforts to the success of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling for prayers and commitment toward the continuity of his government ahead of the 2027 elections.

Igboho further commended President Tinubu’s leadership style and governance efforts, while also lauding the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA 1, alongside other Yoruba traditional rulers for their roles in preserving peace, culture, and unity across Yorubaland.

Other notable members of The Elite Broadcasters present at the meeting praised Igboho’s courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the Yoruba cause. They collectively called for deeper collaboration in projecting the positive image of Chief Sunday Igboho and the ideals he represents.

Prominent members in attendance included Mr. Gbenga Olayiwola Oyato (Lagelu FM), Aare Samuel Ibikunle Arugboboisi (Fresh FM), Mr. Abiola Bravolee (Agidigbo FM), Aare Emmanuel Ibikunle Elereoba (Success FM), Capt. Atanda Mighty, and Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde (Freshvoice Newsmedia and Ilaji FM).

The visit ended on a note of unity, mutual respect, and a shared resolve to advance responsible broadcasting in support of cultural identity, good governance, and societal development.
