Ibadan, May 26, 2025 – The Councillors of Ibadan South West Local Government (IBSWLG) have extended warm felicitations to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, and the Vice Chairman, Hon. Tajudeen Adigun, as they mark the four-year anniversary of their second term in office.
In a statement jointly signed by the councillors, they praised Ambassador Akande for his exceptional leadership and commended the strong, collaborative relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the council.
> “Today, we celebrate four years of tireless dedication and impactful leadership in Ibadan South West Local Government. Hon. Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, your administration has been a shining example of purposeful governance. We appreciate the consistent support and cooperation extended to the legislative council,” the statement read.
The councillors also highlighted key achievements of the administration, including the drilling of boreholes in Wards 4 and 5, and the installation of solar-powered streetlights, which are scheduled for commissioning on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
They lauded Hon. Akande’s visionary governance, noting that his commitment has resulted in significant development across multiple sectors within the local government.
> “Your dedication to inclusive governance and service delivery has not gone unnoticed. We are honored to work alongside you in delivering meaningful progress to our constituents,” they added.
Concluding the statement, the councillors reaffirmed their unwavering support for the executive arm, promising to continue working collaboratively to implement policies and programs that uplift the lives of the people of Ibadan South West.
