The Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government (IBSWLG), Honourable Akande, has praised the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing it as people-centric. Speaking at a stakeholders’ consultative meeting for the 2026 budget, Akande commended the governor’s leadership style, which he said prioritizes the welfare and well-being of the people.
Akande, who also commended Governor Makinde Administration for what he has done for the good people of Ibadan South West Local Government in areas of road, market development and general welfare of the residents, also called for increased in road rehabilitation for local governments in the 2026 budget, emphasized that the governor’s administration has shown commitment to improving the lives of Oyo State residents.
He noted that the administration’s policies and programs are geared towards enhancing the quality of life for the people, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development, healthcare, and education.
According to Akande, Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to people-centric governance, which is evident in the various initiatives and projects implemented across the state. He expressed optimism that the 2026 budget would continue to reflect the administration’s commitment to the people’s welfare.
The stakeholders’ consultative meeting provided a platform for discussions on the 2026 budget, with Akande and other stakeholders presenting their proposals and memoranda.
