As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Honourable Adeyemi Akande, Chairman of the Ibadan South West Local Government (IBSWLG), has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Islamic clerics for their unwavering support and prayers throughout the fasting period.

In a statement released to commemorate the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri, Honourable Akande thank Almighty Allah for good health and peace in the local government areas, he also praised the Islamic clerics for their selfless commitment to the spiritual growth and development of the Muslim community.
“I am deeply grateful to our esteemed Islamic clerics for their tireless efforts in guiding our Muslim brothers and sisters throughout the holy month of Ramadan,” Honourable Akande said. “Their prayers, sermons, and counsel have been a source of strength and inspiration to many, and I am honoured to acknowledge their invaluable contributions to our community.”

As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, Honourable Akande extended his warmest wishes to the Muslim community in the local government, praying for a joyous and peaceful Sallah celebration.

“As we mark the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid-el-Fitri, I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy and blessed Sallah,” Honourable Akande said. “May this special occasion bring us closer together as a community, and may we continue to promote peace, love, and understanding among all people.”

The IBSWLG Chairman also urged Muslims to continue to uphold the values and principles of Ramadan, including compassion, generosity, and self-discipline, throughout the year.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, let us not forget the lessons we learned during Ramadan,” Honourable Akande said. “Let us continue to embody the spirit of Ramadan, and may we be rewarded with Allah’s blessings and mercy.”
