As part of his unflinching commitment towards enhancing the standard of education and assisting parents reduce burden of the cost of educational materials in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju has facilitated different school materials for students of Okedere High School, Idere, Tapa Community High School, Tapa and Oke-Ako High School, Igangan, through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

The school items to be distributed in the three senior secondary schools in the federal constituency between Tuesday, October 28 and Wednesday, October 29, 2025, include Class Furniture (Plastic Table/Chair), Customized School Bags, Biros (Schneider BLUE), Biros (Schneider RED), Notebook (Small Hard Cover – Quarto), Notebook (Big Hard Cover – A4) and thousands of 60-leaves Notebooks.
The federal lawmaker said the selection of the schools to benefit from this empowerment was as a result of the on-the-spot assessment his team carried out last year, which indicated a pressing need of the aforementioned citadels of learning.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also noted that the facilitation was also to complement the brilliant efforts of His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde in ensuring all children in Oyo State have access to quality education. According to him, the intervention of the Oyo State government, led by Gov. Makinde, has resulted in an unprecedented reduction in the number of out-of-school children in Oyo State since 2019.

The Ibarapa-born lawmaker, however, urged school authorities of the three schools to benefit from the materials to accord the officials of the Universal Basic Education and his team, who would supervise the distribution of the items, the necessary respect. He also urged the benefiting students and schools to make judicious use of the materials.
While thanking UBEC for enabling him to facilitate the materials to his constituency, Hon. Adepoju reminded the students, teachers and parents of his pending school instructional materials that would soon be distributed to every single public secondary school student in the federal constituency. He said the little delay was due to necessary documentation that needed to be done to release the materials to the students.
