As the third edition of Ibarapakan free holiday lessons progresses across Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, member representing the constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commended parents, teachers, volunteers and students in the two local government areas for their support and turnout for the initiative.

The 2025 edition of the lesson started on Monday, August 11, 2025, across five communities in the federal constituency. It aims to engage students from public and private schools, enhance the academic performance of secondary school students by complementing the efforts of the Oyo State government and deter them from loitering during the extended third-term break.
While commending the participation of the students in the exercise, the lawmaker expressed his gratitude to the students, teachers and volunteers and parents for their enthusiasm and cooperation in making the initiative a success thus far. He noted that the programme’s impact would not only be felt in the short term but would also have long-term benefits for the students and the community as a whole.

He noted that his efforts in the educational advancement of the constituency since 2023, ranging from his free holiday lessons, scholarship offers for outstanding students in the tertiary institutions and One-Day House of Representatives Member Competition, are initiatives put together to motivate and inspire secondary school students in the constituency, saying that the efforts are germinating good results already compared to what was the status quo in the past.

The lawmaker further urged the students to remain focused and committed to their studies, emphasising that education is never a scam but rather a key to unlocking their full potential and achieving their dreams.
“I am what I am today through God and the power of education. You are the future we look up to, and for that future to be safe, we must continue to invest in your education.
“We know there are distractions everywhere, making it difficult for you to take your studies seriously, but this is the best time to see education as what you need to commit your time and attention to when many people are shying away from it.” Hon. Adepoju admonished.

He, however, promised to always be there, conceptualising ideas and spearheading initiatives that directly address the problems facing the constituency at large.
