The Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Alhaji Hon. Lawal Lateef Akorede, has commended the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, for initiating a free healthcare program in the council area.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairman at the flag-off ceremony of the free medical outreach held at the Maternity Centre in Ibarapa North, Hon. Ajayi Olusola Francis, the Supervisory Councillor for Health, applauded the wide range of medical services provided, including blood pressure screenings, malaria testing, and general medical consultations.
He expressed deep gratitude to the Governor and the Ministry of Health for their generosity and unwavering commitment to the well-being of residents across Oyo State.

He, however, emphasized that the initiative should not be seen as a state-only project, but rather as a collaborative effort between both the state and local government.

This synergy between both tiers of government is essential to deepening grassroots development, he noted.

Hon. Francis further encouraged all beneficiaries of the outreach to adhere strictly to medical advice and follow through with their treatment plans, highlighting the importance of preventive healthcare and personal responsibility in building a healthy society.
