IBADAN NORTH WEST COUNCIL BOSS MOURNS OLUBADAN, COMMISERATES WITH GOV. MAKINDE

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alhaji AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju has mourned the sudden demise of the Olubadan of Ibadanland,His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun,Alli Okunmade II, who joined his ancestors on Thursday evening, March15,2024 at the age of 82years.
The Council Boss further commiserated with His Excellency, Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde on the monarch’s demise.

Alhaji Adepoju described the late monarch , Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun , Okunmade II,as a monarch who epitomized the trait of a humble and knowledgeable traditional ruler since his ascension on the throne.

According to the Executive Chairman, the king was a ruler who has reshaped the image and peace of Ibadanland, hence, his accomplishments within the short period on throne will never be forgotten.

The Council Boss reiterated that His imperial Majesty has demostrated uncommon grace in administering unique traditions of Ibadan land since ascension of throne. He maintained that it has been an evident in the way and manner His Majesty has ruled which has ensured peace and harmony in Ibadan and environs since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

He further commended His Excellency and the Olubadan-in Council for their unflinching supports for the late Olubadan to excel in making Ibadanland gain more economic success in just a little over two years on throne.

The Executive Chairman on behalf of all Political functionaries, Members of Traditional Council, Management, staff and good people of Ibadan Northwest Local Government commiserated with His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde,immediate family members of Oba Dr Balogun, the Olubadan-in-council, Oyo state Traditional Council and entire Ibadan land on the demise of the Late monarch Oba Dr.
Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II. He prayed to Almighty Allah to accept His returns,forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah fridaus.

It could be recalled that the Late Olubadan of Ibadan land was installed and presented staff of office on March 11,2022 by His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde.
