The executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, held his first security meeting today, June 5, 2024.
Hon. Olufade, who was sworn in on May 24 and officially resumed office on May 27, convened the meeting to familiarize himself with key security stakeholders in the local government and to discuss pertinent security issues.
The meeting, which took place at the chairman’s office, brought together representatives from various security agencies, including the Police, Immigration, Customs, NSCDC, NDLEA, Amotekun, Operation Burst, DSS, and FRSC.
Additionally, traditional rulers, Isese worshippers, the Christian Association of Nigeria, and the Chief Imam of Ibadan North Local Government were present.
In their addresses, the security and community leaders congratulated Hon. Olufade on his new role and pledged their continuous support to ensure the local government remains peaceful and secure.
They expressed their hopes for a successful tenure and a positive impact on the community under his leadership.
In his remarks, Hon. Olufade extended his gratitude to the attendees for their ongoing efforts to maintain safety and peace in Ibadan North.
He emphasized his commitment to accessibility and swift responses to their needs, promising a cooperative working relationship.
He encouraged all stakeholders to continue their diligent efforts to keep the local government safe and peaceful.
