The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, demonstrated water well treatment to protect the community amidst the ongoing cholera outbreak.

The demonstration took place yesterday in the Ward 4 area of Ibadan North, guided by the environmental officers of the local government.

Hon. Olufade illustrated the process by pouring chlorine into a well, carefully measuring the number of spoonfuls based on the depth and volume of the water.

In his speech, Hon. Olufade announced that this exercise would be carried out throughout Ibadan North Local Government by environmental officers to ensure the well water is treated and to prevent the spread of cholera.

He emphasized that the cholera disease remains a significant threat and should not be taken lightly.

He urged residents to cooperate with the environmental officers during the exercise, stating that ensuring a safer community is his top priority.

Present at the demonstration were Mrs. Akande Elizabeth, Director of Environment for Ibadan North Local Government; Mrs. Bello, Director of Environment for Aare Latosa LCDA; Alhaja Rasheed, Director of Environment for Irepodun LCDA; and other environmental officers.
